Illustration for catalog cover (1895). Aubrey Vincent Beardsley (English, 1872-1898). He was a leading figure in the Aesthetic movement and had significant contributions to the development of the Art Nouveau and poster styles.
This illustration has subsequently been used for posters, CDs, fantasy publications, DVDs, menus, and the book Reading Petronius by Niall W. Slater.
