Listed as “revised and abridged by the author.” “An unflinchingly frank novel about the daring adventures of a modern artist passionately swept up in a shocking world of models, mistresses and unorthodox morals.”  (From back cover blurb).  The 1948 Broadway musical High Button Shoes was based on Longstreet’s semi-autobiographical 1946 novel, The Sisters Liked Them Handsome.
